A | Study this example situation: Sarah went to a political party concluding calendar week. Paul went to the party also, but they didn't see each other. Paul left t he political party at x.xxx and Sarah arrived at eleven o'clock. Then: When Sarah arrived at the party, Paul wasn't in that location. · He had gone dwelling house. Had gone is the past perfect (simple):
The past perfect simple is had+ past participle (gone/ seen/ finished etc). Sometimes nosotros talk about something that happened in the by: · Sarah arrived at the political party. This is the starting point of the story. Then, if we desire to talk nigh things that happened before this time, we use the by perfect (had ... ): · When Sarah arrived at the party, Paul had already gone home.
